Past Love/Present Fear
You are a vision to my eyes
Your voice is music to my ears
Your hands are strong and gentle
You have my heart without fears
When you touch my skin
When you pull me oh so close
My mind would begin to race
My body you would embrace
I found myself dreaming
Of the love we could share
The kind that fulfills our needs
But still have love to spare
Scared to hold me so close
Love was not what you thought
Spending too much time with me
You would not let your heart be caught
When will the past let us go?
So we can be free to trust
When will we let go of the past?
So we can find our love and adjust
Why can't love be uncomplicated?
Just admit and know what it is
To just let love consume us
Forget the past and live life as is
To communicate with your hearts
To hold each other tight
To love each other well
To know love is our given right
I know I am not much
Just a simple human being
But I do know how to love
To give life a new reason
To love is a gift
To live is to cherish
Let love be complete
And life be a dream to relish
